Overview

Day tour to Pottery and brass village will give you the chance to explore the life of artisans in Bangladesh. Morning we’ll drive to Dhamrai, en-route visit one of the most iconic architecture of Bangladesh, National Martyrs Memorial at Savar, built to honor those who sacrifice their life during the liberation war in 1971. Explore Dhamrai, a beautiful Hindu village and we will show you the famous brass artisans at work. Artistic lost-wax casting method has been inherited by this particular section of people since the historical Palace dynasty from 7th century. Proceed to the pottery village, spend time to get a general view of pottery making and learn about to see some pottery making and have a go at wheel throwing and making a piece of pottery art. Excursion drive through the green country side to visit Baliati Zamindar Palace (Land Lord Palace), one of the most wonderful Rajbari in Bangladesh built in 18th century by Govinda Ram Shaha. Drive back to Dhaka.

7.30 AM Pick-up: After meeting your guide head to Savar Dhamrai (35 km)

9.30  AM National Martyr’s Memorial: Stop for 30 minutes, visit the national monuments of Bangladesh, built to honor the martyrs who sacrificed their life to make the country independent in 1971.

10.30 AM Brass Artisans village at Dhamrai: Stop for 50 minutes and explore unique brass work by lost-wax casting method.

11.45 AM Pottery village:  Stop 40 minutes, spend the time to experience pottery works

12.30 PM Lunch: You may stop for 30 minutes.

02.00 PM Baliati Palace: Stop for 50 minutes, visit the one of the most beautiful Rajbari of Bangladesh from 18th Century.

5.30 PM Drop: End of the tour drop to the designated point in Dhaka.
