Overview

Set out to explore cumilla Mainamoti, a landmark of our ancient history and important center of Buddhist culture from 6th to 13th century. Visit the Shalban Vihara (closed on Sunday), the most important excavated site in Mainamoti built by Sri Bhava Deva in the first half of the 8th century. Mainamoti museum (closed on Sunday) and exciting place to visit the objects from 7th to 12th century. Afterwards drive to Sonargaon, the first capital of Bengal from 13th to 17th century. This ancient city offers an enchanting blend of history, architecture and natural beauty. Visit the beautiful Goaldi mosque built in 1519 during the region of Sultan Hussain Shah. Drive to the magnificent Panam city (closed on Sunday), the last surviving lost city of ancient Bengal, a once-thriving center during the Mughal era. A visit to the stunning Sardarbari (closed on Thursday) about 460 meters of Panam city, along with the Folk Art and Crafts Museum offers a glimpse into the traditional arts and crafts including pottery, textiles, metal and wood work.

07.30 AM Pick-up: After meeting your guide head to the Cumilla, Mainamoti (140 km) and visit

10.00 AM Shalban Vihara: Stop for 40 minutes, explore one of the famous Buddhist monasteries established in the half of 8th century by Deva dynasty.

11.00 AM Mainamati Museum: Stop for 40 minutes, experienced the many archaeological artifacts excavated from Lalmai Mainamati Range dated between 7th to 12th centuries.

12.30 PM, Lunch: You may stop for 30 minutes.

02.00 PM Goaldi Mosque: Stop for 20 minutes, visit the graceful single domed mosque, a wonderful example of pre-Mughal architecture.

02.30 PM Panam City: Stop for 30 minutes, walk through the oldest capital of Bengal and ancient silk road from Bengal delta to China and central Asia.

03.10 PM Boro Sardarbari: Stop for 20 minutes, visit one of the most significant heritage site of Sonargaon, a shining example of restoration of heritage site of Bangladesh.

03.30 PM Folk Art and Crafts Museum: Stop for 30 minutes, visit the unique collection of art and crafts which  are lost from our country.

06.00 PM Drop: End of the tour, drop to the designated point.
